The NAMs Technology Development Center for Women’s Health had a strong presence at the 2026 MPS Summit in Washington, D.C., showcasing the latest advances in organ-on-a-chip technology and women’s health research. With multiple poster presentations from team members and a dynamic booth engaging attendees throughout the conference, the Center demonstrated its commitment to advancing precision medicine through innovative microphysiological systems.
A key highlight was Dr. Lauren Pruitt’s talk, which provided attendees with insights into the Center’s cutting-edge work on endometriosis, adenomyosis, heavy menstrual bleeding, and PCOS. The presentation underscored how non-animal models are accelerating drug development and improving our understanding of women’s health conditions that have historically been understudied. Attendees appreciated the opportunity to learn about the science driving the Center’s mission and the potential impact on future therapeutics.

The booth itself became a hub of activity, drawing participants with hands-on tech, knowledgeable researchers, and an interactive quiz that challenged visitors’ knowledge of women’s health. The top scorers of the day took home medals and left with a better understanding of reproductive biology and the importance of including women’s health in biomedical research. The combination of scientific rigor and accessible outreach demonstrated the Center’s commitment to both advancing research and building public awareness.

Special thanks to MIT, the Center for Gynepathology Research, DALLab, the Safety Health Environmental Discovery Lab, the Research Library of Electronics, the Blainey Lab, the HDD Consortia and Roger Kamm, the Boyer Lab, the You Lab, and our traveling team of experts for coming together to showcase our work, promote our new Center, and create a truly exciting splash in the industry.
