Save the Date – Open Endoscopy Forum at MIT Sept. 22-24, 2023

We are excited to announce that the Sixth Open Endoscopy Forum (OEF) will be held in Cambridge, MA, on September 22-24, 2023, after a three-year hiatus due to Covid-19. Please visit the OEF website for more information (updated often). Registration information will be available there soon.

It wasn’t a coincidence that we selected today, #WomensHealthResearchDay, to announce the OEF event. January 25 is a day to celebrate all the innovative research that is happening as we seek further understanding of sex and gender differences in health, immunity, and diseases. It’s the anniversary of a landmark sex-inclusion policy by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) requiring sex to be included as a variable in all grant submissions. Just as scientists record variables such as time, temperature, and dose, sex is now an important part of the scientific equation.

NEW Pre-Conference Workshop, Sept. 21-22

OEF’s new Research Workshop will bring interested surgeons together with engineers to build community. Sessions are not meant to be definitive, but rather a carefully curated set of investigators and clinicians who provide examples and tutorials – people who are established leaders or at early career stages and truly committed to learning. Details will be available soon.
